CLAUSTROPHOBIA
Claustrophobia is the fear of having no escape from closed-in small spaces. It is an anxiety disorder and often results in panic attacks and can be the result of many situations or stimuli. These can include lifts, crowded places, subways, undergrounds, windowless rooms, and even tight clothing. Claustrophobia may be a result of factors such as conditioning, or a bad experience in a small space. However, it may also be the result of a totally unrelated experience.
Some studies suggest that 5–7% of the world population is affected by some form of claustrophobia.
